M. Rakimul Islam is a Bangladeshi independent filmmaker and writer. He is known for writing social awareness books that make readers question old habits from the past to the present. His films are mostly short with meaningful stories based on real life experiences that people encounter in their daily lives.

Director’s Statement of 2025 Films — Out of the six short films produced in the 2025 cycle, Time to turn the page was the only project submitted to film festivals in 2026. This decision reflects Rakim's perspective on the collection, as only the most definitive work from that year was selected for external exhibition to ensure the highest standard of presentation.
